The 3 steps to become a driving instructor with Elephant Driving Academy

Extended theory test

The test consists of multiple-choice questions and a hazard perception video. The questions are based on the Highway Code, traffic signs, and essential driving skills.

Extended practical test

Refreshing your memory of driving rules and regulations, Helping you correct any bad habits, and Providing driving instruction

Teaching ability test

Assesses a candidate’s ability to teach driving and pass on their knowledge to pupils.

The car

Your car must comply with the DVSA standards, the test will be cancelled and you’ll have to pay again if your car does not meet the rules.

What happens during the test

The test takes 70 minutes and incorporates different driving elements including:
